ST. LOUIS (September 28, 2016) – Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT) (“Perficient”), the leading digital transformation consulting firm serving Global 2000® and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced that its work with Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) has been honored with the Pulse Award for Best Overall Digital Transformation by enterprise software developer Liferay.
The award recognizes VWGoA’s efforts to enhance the overall customer experience on its website using a Liferay portal solution. VWGoA engaged Perficient to help develop a portal that manages order processing sites and content, improves collaboration, and contains a framework for integration and mobility adoption.
Liferay makes open-source software that helps companies create digital experiences on web, mobile, and connected devices. The Pulse Awards recognize novel, inventive, and effective use cases of Liferay’s portal technology to deliver web and mobile experiences that engage customers, partners, and employees across a range of enterprise environments.
“Perficient’s extensive multi-channel experience with Liferay, integration capabilities with multiple legacy systems, and proven enterprise-scale development practices have allowed us to help Volkswagen quickly deliver a quality platform for their dealers,” said Dan Wellborn, Liferay practice lead and senior technical architect at Perficient.
Perficient accepted the Pulse Award for VWGoA at Liferay Symposium North America in Chicago on Tuesday.
“We were excited to be in a position to help Volkswagen Group of America reinvent the way in which they interact with their dealers,” said Joel Stanesa, general manager at Perficient. “The Liferay tools and technologies made the project seamless from interface design and systems-integration standpoints. Being able to bring our automotive industry experience, Perficient Digital agency, and deep technical skills enabled us to partner with VWGoA to deliver on one of their most strategic initiatives in a way that delighted the dealer community.”
