A Major Healthcare Organization on the East Coast
Facilitating a Healthy Transition to Office 365
What if we could help a team transition to a new way of working and provide a centralized location for information and support materials?
Our client is a major healthcare organization on the east coast. The organization serves 21.5 million people through private business and government contracts.
Seeking a Better Way to Collaborate
Our client had begun its transition to Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365 (O365) so that the organization could leverage the latest in productivity and collaboration tools. When the global pandemic struck and employees shifted to a work-from-home model, the project took on a new level of urgency.
Our experienced organizational change management (OCM) team was called upon to help facilitate and accelerate the SharePoint Online (SPO), Exchange Online (EXO), OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams deployment efforts.
The OCM strategy and corresponding rollout plans addressed a variety of impacts across the enterprise, including corporate, TRICARE, Medicare, and commercial business areas.
Enhancing Collaboration With a New Microsoft Office Suite
Our team built and executed a strategic approach to ensure that communications and training enabled end users to adapt to the changes associated with:
- Migrating and converting 55 SharePoint sites to the new, enhanced cloud-based SharePoint
- Assisting our client in managing 15,000 Exchange Online mailbox migrations
- Migrating from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online in preparation for the full deployment of Microsoft Teams
We partnered with our client to develop the project brand and create the Workspace Transformation SharePoint site – a centralized destination for information and support materials for all three Microsoft implementations. The migrations positioned the project team for success.
Our experts delivered an organizational change management strategy, including communications and training materials for the successful enterprise-wide conversion of over 55 SharePoint Online sites and the migration of 15,000 mailboxes to Exchange Online.

The SharePoint Online and Exchange Online migrations were coordinated for deployment and synchronized in waves across our client’s various business areas.
We created custom communication templates for each set of users, developed multiple training options, and provided links to self-service support materials.
Throughout the migrations, our change management team proactively communicated the case for change and educated users on the features and functions of SharePoint Online.
