A Multi-Channel Mission
Family Christian markets products to individual consumers who buy online and browse and purchase in their local store. Based on the organic growth of their current ecommerce site over the last 10 years, the ability to scale and merchandise this multi-channel offer had become difficult.
Also, as Family Christian pushes to attract and satisfy its younger audience, the need for mobile solutions and easy access to e-reader products was a large requirement for their new ecommerce solution.
Shop and Make a Difference
We designed and developed the new Family Christian site using Magento's Enterprise Edition 1.10. This leading open-source ecommerce platform delivers a scalable, cost-effective, digital retail solution with rich features, functionality, and flexibility.
To deliver the same great experience to shoppers with mobile devices, Perficient also built a mobile instance of the site.
The site also features other downloadable products, from music to audio books, and makes it easy to shop while supporting The James Fund, the retailer's foundation that cares for orphans and widows in Family Christian communities and around the world. Site visitors can donate directly through their shopping carts.
To reach the client’s large and growing community, we created a comprehensive community section that includes a blog, a discussion forum and links to content on multiple social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
