New York Philharmonic
Creating Harmony with a New Website
Founded in 1842, the New York Philharmonic is the oldest symphony orchestra in the United States, playing a leading cultural role in New York City, the United States, and the world.
The Site Was Hitting A Sour Note with Patrons
The New York Philharmonic website was impeding the purchase path for patrons and providing a subpar user experience.
The organization knew it needed to offer features that would increase engagement, but it wasn’t sure how to effectively leverage Tessitura – the leading software system for arts and cultural organizations – to achieve that goal.
Striking Up a Solution
We worked closely with the New York Philharmonic to create a professional, creative website that will appeal to all types of visitors while still retaining and fulfilling all necessary functionality.
We implemented capabilities – like the option to pre-purchase tickets, listen to recordings, and watch videos of conductors and musicians – all before even attending a performance. Navigating through the list of upcoming events is easy with an intuitive mini-calendar on every page, and selecting a seat is a breeze with a seat selector to guide visitors.
Patrons can now easily complete the purchase path, leading to increased revenue for the New York Philharmonic.
